Client: Current TV
JD: Writer and Producer
Project Description:

Microcelebrity is the phenomenon of being extremely well known not to millions but to a small group — a thousand people, or maybe only a few dozen. This phenomenon is seen most prevalently in the online world of social networks, blogs, and vlogs. Aaron Krane was the marketing manager for Technorati and the former host of the web TV show Buzz! He’s often recognized at tech events, knows how to pose for pictures, and obsessively counts how many photos have been tagged of him on Facebook – all factors that contribute to his microcelebrity status. We’ll follow Aaron as he shows us how, in this era of global and internet communities, who’s a celebrity and why, may not really matter – as long as you get your 15 minutes somehow.  Click here to view the project.
